Blenheim Triathlon Training Workshop
Entered Blenheim or another open water triathlon for the first time? Just getting into Open Water Swimming or Triathlon? Worried about how to swim in this new environment or what kit you need?
Wetsuit Swimming & Technique
Come and learn some new swimming skills to put your winter pool training into practice. We'll teach you how to put your wetsuit on properly and adapt your stroke to wetsuit swimming.
You'll learn how to swim straight in this new environment and how to pace yourself so you can complete with triathlon in freestyle.​

You must be able to swim 100m freestyle non-stop, if you can't please come on a pool based course or 1:1 Swimming Lesson first and get training! Breastrokers are welcome but we hope to help you improve to get you swimming front crawl/freestyle.

Transitions, Bike & Run

​As well as mastering the swim, we'll show you how to rack your bike, set up your kit and what you need to have a successful race.
​
We'll cover training advice for going from the bike to the run and have time for newbie Q&As with expert coaching from Ali.
​
This workshop is essential if you haven't a clue and want to pick up essential race tips to help you complete your best race.

"The Pre-Blenheim Course was invaluable. I had no idea how to swim in a straight line, and every time I tried on my own previously I ended up in the bank! Ali helped me control my breathing and get into a good rhythm so I could put my good pool training to good use in the lake. It was useful building my confidence swimming close to other people, it really helped calm my nerves. The race tips came in really handy too. I will definitely do it again next year!"
